| up's mate im with you there all the way hating the weather i can officially say that after 5 days of doom and gloom that i can now see sunshine and blue skies im so glad that grey manky crap has eventually moved its ass and i may even be able to get the camera back out, if not for weather shots, then just photos in general. i've had a sneaky peek at some long range forecasts and all things are pointing towards a wet summer which hopefully can only mean one thing..........storms | |

| Not been good so far has it eh, ive not been anywhere near a storm , absolutely nothing within 100+ miles of here. And certainly not had a set up where its been worth while getting out after something. Jeez for all the heavy showers that were about this week even then we only had one here......mid June already so im beginning to get a tad frustrated....again Not really looked at anything too long term but generally talk does seem to be of a wetter than average summer so as you say maybe from that we will get some storms...can only hope. Things look to be settling down again with High Pressure moving in and temps in the low 20s for much of the country although we do appear to keep a bit of E/NE airflow. Netweather do mention the chance of some storms developing over southern regions during the week but GFS isnt really showing much yet for next week. I dunno, will have to go the World Championship Sausage Hurling tomorrow. What else is there for a guy to do, there will be soem Falcons there so may see if i can get a few shots of those...oh and of course some sausage throwing as well | |

| Oh yes....i like Storm Forecast Issued: 2010-06-12 16:23:00 Valid: 2010-06-13 00:00:00 - 2010-06-13 23:59:00 Regions Affected Wales, Midlands, SW England, parts of E Anglia & Northern Ireland (all of England, Wales and Northern Ireland are included in the WATCH) Synopsis A shallow area of Low pressure moves southeastwards across the United Kingdom on Sunday, dominating the weather. Behind an increasingly weak eastward-moving cold front, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast to develop in the unstable airmass during the afternoon and evening, moving in a predominantly southeasterly direction. Showers will be fairly quick-moving, but may be accompanied by hail and gusty winds. The showers (and storms) will persist throughout the night across England and Wales with still a risk of electrical activity. | |

| UKASF warning still current and things do look quite favourable for some storms this evening and into the night. High Res NMM is backing this as well with numbers looking good through most of the night. Not sure if i wil get anything here with areas further east looking better to me. Nice area of wind convergance showing around the Oxford, London and Cambridge areas into the night so maybe thats where things will be more active ?
Any storms that do form will be slow moving so hopefully that will help in nabbing a few if they are about. Time to keep a watch on trackers and radar in a few hours.

| Plenty of heavy rain in the Birmingham, Nottingham areas at the moment but only a couple of strikes on trackers. Still quite early evening really but not sure how or if theres gonna be something further South ? Forecasts and NMM still showing something so will wait and see. | |

| Looking at the predicted rainfall radar I should be In for something good between midnight onwards. The rain looks like it's going round in circles at the moment. I am taking this from a app on my iPhone called weatherpro. It hasn't failed me yet! It's been raining very heavy on and off for the past two hours now and inbetween the wavy rain it's been raining quite moderatly throughout | |

| Spot on with the circling bit Mark, this system is sat bang centre over the lower 3rd of the UK. Also the reason that everything is moving quite slowly as well. Would have hoped to see something a little more organised by now but still some hope maybe | |

| Well Sunday here was gorgeous and very warm, even though there was still a bit of a cooler edge to the breeze - still, hot enough to burn my nose whilst gardening! You would think I would have learnt by now not to do that! However, the rain came in all of a sudden in the evening and today is a mix of rain and sunshine! However, gather a high pressure system is coming up from the Azores so hoping for warmer things! | |

| Wasnt that bad here for all the supposed action that may have been about. Certainly some very heavy rain about as Mark saw himself but not so sure those storms got going as most including me expected. A few heavy showers this morning here, all very short but did manage a few minutes of hail earlier. But as ever nothing of real note to comment on, same old story for me....anyway better start new weeks thread...so whats in store ? | |

| Final thoughts jerry springer style!
Nothing exciting happened during the night, rain tailed off about 1am and I wasn't aware of anything after that. No thunder or lightning at all yesterday even though the system that was weather warned passed right over me. Dissappointed again but fingers crossed for the next one

| Reckon im gonna give up on the fingers crossing bit as of now, they ache from me trying it so much and it never works anyway. Im thinking i may need to try a new approach to getting some weather luck. Not sure what yet but its looking like drastic measures are now required . What was it Maradona has said he will do if Argentina win the World Cup...oh yes, run naked around the city....hmm | |
