Certainly a classic clip from what was maybe one of the biggest mis-forecasts ever given anywhere. Blustery winds and rain...so thats half of Southern UK blown away then. " I can assure you there will be no Hurricane "
To this day Michael Fish is still remembered for just about that and that only. Ended his BBC forecasting days as well. Not personally his fault of course but he was the one that gave those forecasts immeadiately before this event.
I may even put something together for this event actually and post it up here.
