So what is going on with the UK weather?

So what's happening then?

This year has seen well below average temps with a predominantly northerly jetstream which is very unusual going into mid June. By now we should be seeing southerly winds, warm moist air producing the odd T/Storm and showers with temps into the mid 20's. But it's not happening!

Looking at this weekend we're seeing temps at 16C, cold northerly winds making it feel rather chilly.

Very frustrating and annoying for enjoying the sun, and for the lack of storms.

Couldnt agree more with that.

Been so little of note recently and as far as storms, yeah right
Should start to lose that N/NE very soon but again its only subtle changes we are seeing and nothing worth looking forward to on the horizon either.

Yes theres been the usual action in the USA, floods in France and also now severe flooding in large parts of China but its not really that exciting filling a UK site with stuff from everywhere else but here is it.
Really beginning to think that this is going to be a very poor year for storms. Last year was bad for me personally and that trend is certainly continuing.
Theres not even been cause to study GFS in any detail for some time now. Surely something has to change soon ???

It never makes sense to be a weather/strom enthusiast here in the UK.
Might as well be a gardener on the moon.
