sorry its taken so long julian lol had to fix the laptop again

but here we go..how to wire the laptop up to the tv and surround sound

first of all make sure your tv has one of the connectors circled in RED on the back or side of it. it should say RGB in....if so thats great...if not you might have a S VIDEO in ?

then you need one of these cables with the same connector on each end (male)

and one end goes to the tv and other to the same socket on the side of the laptop

when you connect these the display should show on both the laptop and TV screen if not, right click on the desktop and go to properties...and there should be a option to show display on external monitor etc... or press the FN key on the laptop AND F4, that should should activate the external display...will go into more detail if needed..

for the sound, you need a cable that has a 3.5mm jack on one and and a red and white phono leads on the other, and the jack goes into the earphone out on the laptop and the red/white leads go to the input on your radio aux socket or surround sound etc...

thats about it on the wiring side of things...i can go into more detail if i have been a bit confusing...hope it helps julian!
